In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2008-2009 academic year. If you need to purchase a meal plan, or if you would like to make a change to the plan you have already selected, simply contact Andy Aslaksen @ 360-438-8856.
The Gold Plan - $2115
100 Board Meal Credits + $600 in Board Bucks
This plan is perfect for the student who is far from
home and prefers to use prepaid meals rather than
cash.
The Silver Plan - $2005
85 Board Meal Credits + $700 in Board Bucks
This plan is designed for the student who may occasionally
miss a meal during the week and sometimes leaves campus
on the weekend. This plan also allows for more flexibility in
making retail purchases.
The Bronze Plan - $1890
60 Board Meal Credits + $750 in Board Bucks
This plan is the best choice for the student with
a part-time job or the weekend traveler as well
as students involved in extracurricular activities that may keep them off campus during scheduled meals.
2007-2008 COMMUTER & APARTMENT RESIDENT MEAL PLAN OPTIONS
Apartment Plan - $740
30 Board Meal Credits + $300 in Board Bucks
This plan is ideal for the apartment resident or local
commuter. It is convenient for long days on campus
when the last thing you want to do is go home and
cook. The cost of the meal plans includes the costof basic food service operations such as facilities
management, electricity, equipment maintenance,
refuse removal, etc.
Saint's Cash
A convenient, easy way to pay for meals on campus. Students and Staff can add money onto to their Saint Martin's ID card. There is no need to get cash and you can avoid the
$.50 debit card charge. Saint’s Cash expires after one year of inactivity.
Your Student ID card will be credited with the purchasing power equivalent to the meal plan you have selected. Here is how it works:
Each time you enter the dining facility during an All-You-Care to-Eat (AYCE) meal (evening and weekend meals), you can choose to deduct one Board Meal Credit from your account or you can purchase individual items a la carte and pay with Board Bucks. During retail dining hours, you pay for only the items you would like to eat using Board Bucks. Anytime you make a retail purchase, the purchase price is deducted from
your Board Bucks balance.
Please note that purchasing a meal with retail dollars during and AYCE period does not entitle you to “seconds.” Also, you may make retail purchases with Saint's Cash, Cash or Debit card. Freshmen & First Year Students are required to choose one of the Board Meal Plans for their first semester. At the end of their first semester, they may choose a different plan. As long as a student purchases one of the three traditional meal plans, Board Bucks and Board Meal Credits will carry over from Fall to Spring. Due to hectic schedules and practice times, the Bronze Plan has been designed to fit the needs of the student athlete. We do encourage all Freshman athletes to meet with their coaches to make sure that this is the best plan for the Fall Semester. First Year International Students are required to choose one of the traditional plans also. International students who live in an apartment may choose to have a smaller plan or
none at all.
If a student chooses not to purchase a traditional plan for the second semester, all Board Meal Credits and Board Bucks will expire at the end of their first semester.
Housing – First Year International Students must live on campus for two semesters. Students wishing to live off-campus for a summer semester must receive written permission from the International Education Department.
BOARD MEAL PLAN BASICS
To ensure you find a plan that fits, Saint Martin’s Dining Service offers three meal plans to choose from. Each Meal Plan consists of a unique combination of Board Meal Credits and Board Bucks. Board Meal Credits cannot be traded for retail items. Board Meal Credits are meal credits to use during our evening and weekend “All-You-Care-to-Eat” meals in Saint Gertrude’s Dining Hall. Board Meals are designed for a single person’s use and are to be eaten in the dining hall. Board Meal Credits may also be used to purchase meals for friends or guests. Board Bucks spend like cash and can be used at any time during normal business hours to purchase either AYCE meals or retail items. Any leftover Board Bucks from your Fall meal plan will automatically roll over to Spring provided you purchase a traditional Spring meal plan. Board Bucks will not roll over when you change from a Fall Board Meal plan to a Spring Apartment plan.
Board Bucks cannot be used during Winter or Spring Break
